10 Common Essentials Jet Has Cheaper Than Amazon

Want to Earn Some Extra Money?

Jet is a retail site that was made to compete with the famous retail giant Amazon. While not all of their products, there are quite a few household essentials that you can find cheaper on Jet, especially if you buy in bulk.

The more you buy at one time, the higher the discounts. Here’s a list of 10 items that we’ve found to be less expensive than on Amazon.

1. Toilet Paper

There are only a few toilet paper products that are cheaper on Jet than on Amazon, and not by much. The trick here is to buy in bulk, and you usually only need to just buy one extra to save some money. A 32-pack of Cottonelle Clean Care Toilet Paper is 2 cents more on Jet, but each time you buy an additional 32-pack you get $1.16 off your order.

Toilet paper is one of those items that gives you a huge discount the more you buy. While you’re probably not going to be using it all at once, it never hurts to stock up in order to save a few extra dollars.

Jet (2 or more) – $22.43

2. Sandwich Bags

I was surprised to see that I could save nearly $6 on a pack of 500 Ziploc Sandwich Bags when I shop on Jet, and this is without the need to buy in bulk. This won’t commonly be the case, as these types of bags are usually only a dollar or 2 cheaper on Jet.

3. Garbage Bags

You can save up to $8 when you buy garbage bags on Jet. Kirkland Signature Drawstring bags are a lot cheaper, and you save an extra $.72 cents for every extra package that you buy. You probably won’t find any other garbage bags at such a discount compared to Amazon.

4. Disinfecting Wipes

These wipes can really add up when they’re so easy and convenient to use. While you can only save about $.50 cents – $1 when comparing between the two retailers, keep buy in bulk and you can save roughly an extra $.40 – $.50 cents per pack when you make the purchase on Jet.

6. Allergy Medicine

Amazon tends to have a wider variety of allergy medicine, but Jet tends to always win on the price. Save roughly $3 when you buy a 600 count bottle of Kirkland Signature Allergy Medicine. For each additional bottle that you buy on Jet, you’ll end up saving an extra $.25 – $.50 cents.

7. Body Wash

Dove Body Wash is about $2 cheaper on Jet. Furthermore, the amount you save on each additional bottle goes up quite a bit at $.42 cents. Like their medication section, there aren’t many options on Jet comparatively.

8. Q-Tips

The brands are going to be a bit different between the two retailers, so this product is a little bit more difficult to compare.

However, we’re still able to get a general idea of how much you can save. Assuming that you buy the same amount of Q-Tips at both places, you can save about $5 with Jet and an additional $.30 cents per box. This is comparing the cheapest brands on both retailers.

Save An Extra 2.5% On All Jet Products

Jet is usually cheaper than Amazon and there’s a way in which you can save an extra 2.5% on all products. This is done by using a shopping portal, an online website that has affiliate relationships with retailers all across the web. Click on one of their links to buy something and they give the majority of the commission back to you.

One of the few shopping portals that gives you cash back when shopping online at Jet is called BeFrugal. Registration is completely free and you also get a $10 sign-up bonus just for joining.

You’ll need a minimum of $25 to cash out. Payments can be requested to be sent to either your home address or directly to your PayPal account. Keep in mind that you can use BeFrugal for retailers all across the web, not just This will help you meet the minimum cash out threshold a lot quicker.

BeFrugal does state that you can save up to an additional 10% on Amazon by using their portal, but keep in mind that this is not for all products, but only products that apply to certain categories such as clothing or jewelry, nothing that we’ve mentioned thus far on this post.

Final Thoughts

Jet doesn’t always have the cheapest price, but when you buy in bulk they usually do. I personally look between both sites before making my final purchase, and sometimes Amazon is a bit cheaper. It’s also important to take into account their Subscribe & Save discount that gets applied to certain products and gives you an additional 15% off.

One great thing about Jet is that they’re still new enough to be throwing around promotions. Right now you get 15% off your first purchase as a new member. If you see any other products that are significantly cheaper on their site, we’d love to know. Thanks for reading and happy shopping!
