WANT TO EARN EXTRA MONEY?

Amazon is giving away $10 in free Amazon credit with the purchase of a $50 Amazon Gift Card until March 31st, 2016. Unfortunately, this deal is only eligible to targeted consumers and to those who haven’t claimed it in the past.

How Do I Know If I’m Eligible?

You can look on the Amazon Gift Card Page and see if you’re eligible for this deal. If you see the message “Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this offer,” it means that you can’t get this deal. If it doesn’t say that, put a $50 gift card in your cart and enter the promo code 0316GCARDS upon checkout.

Unfortunately I was ineligible for the offer, but you may not be!

You will receive a promotional code for $10 in Amazon credit in your inbox within 5 days of making your gift card purchase. The gift card must be purchase before March 31st, 2016 and the promotion code expires on May 16, 2016. You can either send this gift card to yourself or as a gift to someone else. Unfortunately you won’t be able to use the code to purchase an Amazon Gift Card, but all other products should apply.

How Can I Save Even More Money On Amazon?

While there are a bunch of different ways to save on Amazon, there are two main ways that are quick and easy.

Use A Cash Back Portal

Cash back portals are websites that partner with many retailers across the web. They post all of their affiliate links on one page, and when you click on one of those links to make an online purchase, they make a commission and give most of it back to the consumer, or in this case you!

Most shopping portals offer great discounts to Amazon, but currently the one with the highest discount is BeFrugal. You can get up to 10% off, but this entirely depends on the category that you’re shopping for. Here’s a short list of the discounts:

If you purchase an Amazon product that falls outside of one of these categories, you won’t get any cash back. However, sometimes these categories and rates drop. Each portal also has their own rates, so when shopping around be sure to check all portals.

Use GiftMe

GiftMe is one of the best gift card resellers around. They’re a free mobile app that serves as a gift card exchange. People who don’t want their gift card can list it up for sale at a lower price than its actual retail value. Whoever wants to buy a gift card can get one at a great deal.

When shopping for Amazon Gift Cards on the app, on average they sell for 5% off, meaning you’re automatically getting an extra 5% off all Amazon products. Purchase the gift card with a cash back credit card and you can save an additional 2% or a total of 7% on Amazon.

Final Thoughts

If you find yourself ineligible for the deal this time around, be sure to check often since Amazon often has great promotions that can help you save money. If you know of any other ways to get some cash back, we’d love to hear about it. Thanks for reading and happy frugaling!
