Deal Alert: Free $10 Amazon Gift Card With Purchase Of Chromecast

Want to Earn Some Extra Money?

All the way through August 9th, Amazon is offering a $10 Amazon gift card with the purchase of a Google Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player. This is a killer deal, and is even better than discounts found on Black Friday.

Normally the product would cost you $29.99, but taking away $10 dollars from the gift card is like only paying $19.99. You’re most likely not going to find the Chromecast at a cheaper price from any other retailer.

If you want free shipping, go ahead and sign-up with Amazon Prime or you can just do a free 30-day trial for those who just want to test it out. Be sure to cancel your subscription if you no longer wish to use it before the 30 days runs out (even though we highly recommend it).

What Is Chromecast?

Simply put, Chromecast is a digital media player invented by Google that allows you to play audio or video content on a HD TV or display by streaming it through WiFi. With this technology, you can stream online photos, music and videos straight from your smartphone, tablet or notebook.

chromecast-what-is-googleMost people use the Chromecast so that they can display their favorite video streaming apps on their TV, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube among many others. This device makes it extremely easy and convenient to do so.

No remote is needed to setup or to get started using the Chromecast. All you have to do is plug it into your HDTV and connect the TV to your WiFi network at home. The device currently supports Android tablets & phones, Apple devices, Windows devices, and Chromebooks.

How Can I Save An Additional 5% On This Purchase?

Don’t want to stop your savings at $10 dollars? You can add an additional 5% off of your purchase price by using the Amazon Prime Store Card. Furthermore, for a limited time, Amazon is giving new cardholders a bonus of $40 dollars in Amazon credit upon sign-up. You must be an Amazon Prime member to apply for the card.

You get 5% off of all Amazon purchases with this card with the exception of Amazon Prime memberships, magazine subscriptions, digital newspaper subscriptions, game downloads, and software downloads. If you still want to get cash back on these types of purchases, you can get 3% back by applying for the Amazon Rewards Visa Card.

amazon-rewards-visaThe Amazon Prime Store Card also offers special financing on specific purchases at specific prices. Just be sure to pay off your balance each time or you’ll be charged with a hefty interest fee of 25.99% with a minimum interest charge of $1.50. Take note that you have to choose between financing or 5% cash back, but you can’t select both (default is cash back).

Apply For The Discover It Card To Get 10% Back On All Amazon Purchases

Discover is currently offering a Double Cash Back Promotion which gives you double cash back after 12 billing cycles when you apply for a Discover It Credit Card. This offer is only available to those who are new cardholders and apply in the month of July 2015, so it’s best to act fast if you’re interested.

Normally the Discover It Card gives you 5% back on rotating categories each quarter. For the months of July – September, you’re given 5% back on all purchases made at Amazon with a maximum cap of $1,500 dollars. With the Double Cash Back Promotion, you’re actually getting 10% in cash back (5% from the category bonus + 5% from doubling your cash back).

Final Thoughts

You’re not going to find a better deal on the Chromecast, or it’s going to be a long time before a deal like this pops up again. I currently use the stick and it has been a very convenient way for me to stream media to my television.
