- Be the boss
- Unlimited income potential

The disadvantages of self employment are:
- Inconsistent and unstable work
- No benefits
- No paid vacation
- You are responsible for all aspects of the business including performance, client retention, staff, operating expenses, and more
Self employment is freedom and flexibility. You make the rules and call yourself boss. There’s no cap on your income, like there is if you work for someone and you’ll be an entrepreneur. On the other hand, you do have to cope with possible periods of unstable and inconsistent work, no benefits, and holding all the responsibility.
I read an article recently from a successful blogger who shared that starting out, he didn’t have health insurance and had a roommate for the first year! Today, he earns six figures per month from his blog.
Whichever direction you choose, there will be tradeoffs.
