Many people throw the grounds left after the coffee is brewed, thinking that they are trash. Research shows that coffee grounds deserve more respect than that which is given to them, especially in the beauty industry.

They dilate blood vessels and stimulate blood flow, reduce the appearance of cellulite on the skin, are a great exfoliant and are effective at smoothening skin and cleansing feet.

If you’re using blueberries with lemon, apply a moisturizer once you rinse the mixture off. Both ingredients are skin clarifiers, which can cause your face to be dry.

A tablespoon of egg whites and a ¼ cup of frozen berries are enough for a face mask. Mash them together until they form an even layer then carefully apply it on your whole face.

Wait for at least ten minutes before washing it off so it can act on your facial skin. Feel free to apply it on your neck as well if you want.

9. Lemon and Baking Soda Mask

Baking soda is one of the ingredients that’s highly trusted when it comes to skin welfare. It has an exfoliating property that enables it to banish pimples and acne from your skin.

It also a top cure for blackheads and pimples for anyone with oily skin. Large pores only make this problem worse. Baking powder shrinks skin pores and closes them.

If you’re out and about for the better part of the day, it’s highly likely that your skin is exposed to pollution, grime, dirt and other harmful substances. Regular face wash won’t always do the trick.

Baking powder removes these substances and cleans the pores. Just mix it with water to form a thick scrub, then apply it on your face and wash off with ordinary water after a while. Remember to apply moisturizer afterward.

Use two tablespoons of baking soda and ½ a lemon to prepare the mask. You could sprinkle the soda on the lemon and rub the lemon gently on your face in a circular motion. Or, mix the powder and juice to form a paste, and apply it directly.
