Global Test Market Full Review
With hundreds of different survey sites claiming that you can make lots of money in a short amount of time, it’s difficult to believe which ones are legit. That’s why in this post we’re going to break down and review Global Test Market, explaining the pros and cons, how much you can make and whether it’s worth your time.
While I’m not typically fond of online survey sites for making money, sometimes they can be a great way to bring in some extra cash. If you are looking for a legitimate survey site, Global Test Market is one of the better ones out there.
I find on average I can usually make around $8 – $10 per hour if I choose the right surveys. With that said, let’s get started with our review.
What Is Global Test Market?
As mentioned above, Global Test Market is a free online survey site that pays you to give your opinion on various products and services. Around since 1999, they’re one of the most popular rewards program on the web due to their higher payout rate and strong reputation.
If you’re worried about your privacy, keep in mind that all of the information you give is completely anonymous. There’s absolutely no way they’ll be able to trace your answers back to you.
Each time you complete one of their surveys, you’re given a certain amount of points depending on the difficulty of the survey. These points can be exchanged for prizes such as deposits to PayPal or gift cards to popular retailers like Amazon.
Here’s a quick list of the pros and cons of Global Test Market:
- One of the better paying survey sites out there at around $10 per hour
- No cost to – you should never have to pay to join a survey site
- The information you provide is kept completely anonymous
- They have gift card payouts as well as PayPal
- If you’re ineligible for a survey, they’ll usually let you know within the first couple of questions
- Great reputation and always payout on time.
- Available to international users – they currently have members from 49 different countries
- Sometimes their website is incredibly slow
- Using Facebook to register sometimes doesn’t work
- While they have a lot of high-paying surveys, there’s also a lot of low-paying ones
- Can be difficult to register due to their eligibility requirements
- It may take up to a few weeks to receive your reward
In What Countries Can I Use Global Test Market?
Global Test Market is currently available in 49 different countries. While we’re not going to cover all of them, here are some of the more popular ones:
- United States
- South Africa
- United Kingdom
How Much Can I Earn With Global Test Market?
When you take surveys with Global Test Market, you’re either awarded points or sweepstakes entries. We suggest staying away from those that offer sweepstakes since they’re incredibly difficult to win due to the amount of users that participate.
The great thing about their surveys is that they always tell you how much you’ll be awarded before you complete them. You need a minimum of 220 points to cash out for a $10 reward. Points are awarded immedaitely to your account upon survey completion.
On average, you’ll find that surveys only pay between 20 – 40 points. However, with a little digging around and patience you’ll find that some surveys pay as much as $5 and only take around 30 – 40 minutes.
By sticking with the higher-paying surveys, you can definitely rake in some good cash. It may take a while before you’re able to cash out for the first time at this rate, but you won’t be wasting your time.
Expect to earn $10 – $20 per month by completing 1 -2 surveys a week. This is much better than a lot of other survey sites out there.
How Do I Get Started With Global Test Market?
I’m not going to lie – signing-up for Global Test Market was quite frustrating. Not only was their site incredibly slow, but sometimes the registration form wouldn’t submit properly. I had to walk through the registration process three times before I was finally in.
However, don’t let this discourage you. You can still make some great money. Although registration is incredibly simple, we’re going to break it down in just 5 simple steps.
If you’re from one of the 49 countries Global Test Market is available in, you can register for free by. You’ll need to enter in some personal information such as your name and date of birth. I suggest to sign-up not using your Facebook or Twitter account since it was a bit buggy when I tried.
2. Activate your account.
Once you register for an account, be sure to confirm your email and click on their confirmation link. You may be requested to enter in a confirmation code.
3. Fill out your profile.
While filling out your profile isn’t obligatory, we highly recommend it. By doing so not only will you receive more surveys, but you’ll also receive the ones that match your interests.
4. Participate in surveys.
After you fill out your profile, go ahead and start taking surveys. You’ll always know how much you’ll be awarded before you start the survey. Remember, try to stick to the ones that award points instead of sweepstakes entries. Global Test Market likes to reward frequent survey takers, so the more surveys you take the more you’ll receive.
5. Cash out.
Once your account balance reaches 220 points, you’ll be able to cash out for the minimum of $10. Points can be exchanged for gift cards to popular retailers or direct deposits to PayPal. As mentioned above, by checking in a couple of times a week you can bring in an extra $10 – $20 per month.
6. Refer your friends.
Each time a friend uses your referral link to join, you and your friend both get a bonus of 100 points. A great way to quickly spread the word is by posting your link on Facebook or Twitter. Keep in mind that you’ll be rewarded after your friend cashes out for the first time.
Is Global Test Market Worth It?
Hopefully by now you have enough information to determine whether Global Test Market is worth it for you or not. Yet I’d still like to give my personal opinion on the matter.
Assuming you don’t have any issues with their registration process like I did, Global Test Market is worth it assuming you take the higher-paying surveys. Some of the surveys they offer pay as low of a rate as $3 – $5 per hour. We find that this isn’t worth your time, and you’re better off spending it browsing through other survey sites.
Even though you won’t find many high-paying surveys on there, by checking in once or twice a week you can still bring in $10 – $20 a month in cash. We suggest using the PayPal cash out method primarily because you can always get gift cards at a discount through an online gift card vendor.
One of the best things about Global Test Market is that I’ve never been ripped off, so I know it’s not a scam. I’ve always received my payment, even if it takes a few weeks to arrive. Furthermore, they’re also one of the few international survey sites, meaning no matter where you’re from you’ll most likely be eligible to participate.
What Are Some Other Great Online Survey Sites?
Just because you’ve ran out of surveys with Global Test Market doesn’t mean you have to stop there. If you’re looking for some other ways to earn some cash online, there are lots of other great survey sites. We’re going to list our top 3 here.
PointClub is number one on our list due to their ease of use and great payout rate. You can make up to $15 per hour and you even get a $5 registration bonus as a new user. Most of the surveys on there are high-paying, so you won’t have to worry about which ones you choose.
If you decide to register with PointClub, be sure to follow their bonus program. For every 5 consecutive days that you log-in, your earnings are increased by 10% until you reach a maximum bonus of 100%. However, once you skip a day to log-in, your bonus earnings are set back to zero.
With this bonus, you’ll be able to earn $15 per hour, otherwise it will only be around $7 – $8. What personally helps me is setting a daily reminder to log-in. Even though it can be a pain, it’s definitely worth it with this survey site.
You need a minimum of $25 to cash out. Unlike Global Test Market, they are not an international survey site.
Survey Junkie has to be by far one of the more popular survey sites on the web since they tend to always have surveys available. You can earn up to $18 per hour, but this is of course provided that you stick with the higher paying surveys.
They’re currently only available in the US, Canada and Australia with the first two countries with the potential to earn more. However, Australian users can still earn at a decent rate.
The great thing about Survey Junkie is that they tell you by the first or second question if you’re ineligible to take a survey. This way you’re not wasting your time getting halfway through the survey only to find out you’re not eligible for it.
I love MySoapBox due to the fact that their surveys have an incredibly high payout rate. The downside? There just aren’t that many surveys available. They’re currently giving out a $2 registration bonus to new users.
When you first sign-up, you’ll only have one survey available – complete your profile information. You must first complete this survey before your receive any others, and after that it may take a while to get it.
Instead of logging-in constantly to see if there’s a survey available, sign-up for their email reminders. If you’re looking for a survey site with a high payout, MySoapBox is definitely it.
Still looking for other ways to earn cash by taking online surveys? The three sites mentioned above are just a few on our all-time top 10 survey site list. When I was struggling for cash, these 10 sites helped me earn $300/month or more.
I really hope you enjoyed reading my Global Test Market review. Although it isn’t one of the best survey sites out there, it’s definitely a great one to add to your list.
I typically find it convenient to complete surveys when I have a few minutes left in the office or am waiting for an appointment. This way I’m not taking any extra time out of my day, and I’m bringing in some extra cash.
