With that said, let’s get started. Here’s a list of 101 ways on how to make money as a student.
1. Take Pictures Of Your Receipts
Nowadays there are tons of apps available that give you cash back scanning receipts. Ibotta is one of the most popular, giving you cash back on groceries, electronics, prescriptions, meals at restaurants, alcohol and more.
Here’s a quick list of how it works:
- Sign-up for a free Ibotta account. Get a $10 bonus after you scan your first receipt.
- Buy your product like you normally do and find it on the Ibotta app. Claim this item.
- Take a picture of your grocery receipt with the Ibotta app. Make sure to hold the receipt steady and clearly.
- Wait up to 48 hours to receive cash back in your account.
- Once your account balance reaches a minimum of $20, cash out to PayPal, Venmo or for a gift card of your choosing.
You shouldn’t have any trouble finding offers with Ibotta since they currently have over 2,000 offers.
Want to earn even more? Here’s a list of 11 other apps like Ibotta that also pay you to scan receipts. The best part? You can stack these apps to increase your cash back.
2. Earn $36/Year Doing Nothing With Shoptracker
Love shopping on Amazon? You might as well get paid for it.
When you install the Shoptracker app to your phone and link it to your Amazon account, you’ll receive a $3 gift card at the end of each month.
Register for a free account by taking a short 5-minute survey about your Amazon shopping experience. Once this is done, download the app to your phone.
From there, link your Amazon account to Shoptracker and you get an a $3 bonus as a new user. For each month you leave the app installed, you earn an additional $3.
This means you’re essentially earning $36 per year in passive income – the only thing you have to remember to do is cash out. With the $3 sign-up bonus, it’s $39 the first year.
3. Take Online Surveys With Survey Junkie
Survey Junkie is one of the highest paying survey sites on the web. While they don’t come with a sign-up bonus, I find that I can usually make around $12/hour provided that I stick to the higher paying surveys.
If you take surveys on Survey Junkie that pay at a low rate, you won’t be earning this much. This is why you need to be a bit selective about which ones you take.
I tend to check back daily for high-paying surveys. If there aren’t any, I check back the following day until there is one.
4. Invest With Acorns For Only $5
Although it’s more of a long-term money maker, you can get started with $5 by using Acorns – a commission free investment platform that gives you advice on how to spend your money.
