How To Quickly Get 10% Cash Back On All Amazon Purchases

How To Quickly Get 10% Cash Back On All Amazon Purchases

Want to Earn Some Extra Money?

There are a lot of different ways to save money on one of the web’s most famous online retailer – Amazon. We’ve shown you that you can even get products for free by using Amazon Review Sites, or how to buy Amazon gift cards at a discount

These methods are great, but you can’t rely on them 100% of the time. There might be an item that you’re interested in that’s not listed on a review site, or you may have to wait a while to find gift cards at a discount.

Today we’re going to show you how you can always get 10% cash back year-round in just 2 steps when you make purchases on Amazon on up to $4,500 a year.

1. Get A Credit Card

And not just any card. There are currently two cards on the market that give you 5% cash back for all Amazon purchases. The first one we’re going to cover is the Discover It Card.

This is one of the best cards on the market. It has no annual fee and gives you 5% cash back in categories that rotate quarterly. Let’s take a quick glance.

  • No annual fee
  • 5% Cash Back In Categories That Rotate Quarterly
  • No Foreign Transaction Fees
  • $1,500 Cap Of 5% Cash Back Per Quarter
  • 1% Cash Back On All Other Purchases
  • Free FICO credit score on every statement

If you notice on Discover’s Cash Back Calendar below, you get 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases from the months of July to December.

This goes all the way up to $1,500 per quarter, meaning with this card alone you can get 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases up to $3,000 per year (since there’s 2 quarters).

A while back we discussed how Discover was holding their Double Cash Back Promotion, giving you double cash back on everything you earn within the first year.

This means that if you normally get 1% cash back, you get 2%! If you normally get 5% cash back, you get 10%! Discover originally announced that they were extending their program to September 2015, but now they’ve decided to extend it to the end of the year.

The only problem with this is that it lasts only for the first year, and we also can’t guarantee how long the promotion will go on. Furthermore, the offer is only available to new card members. They’re somewhat strict about giving the offer to current cardholders, but you can always call and ask.

I Don’t Want To Go With Discover

If you don’t want to go with the Discover It Card, or perhaps you’ve already used it to spend $3,000 in purchases on Amazon this year, there’s also the Chase Freedom Card.

This card is incredible, as it gives you 5% cash back on categories that rotate quarterly (one of them being Amazon) with a $100 sign-up bonus and no annual fee. Let’s take a quick glance below:

  • 1% Cash Back On All Other Purchases
  • Chip Card Technology

From the months of October – December, the Chase Freedom gives you 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in purchases from Amazon.

With 2 quarters from Discover and 1 quarter from Chase, we get a total of 5% cash back on up to $4,500 in combines purchases. Just make sure to activate your cash back once you get the card.

2. A Cash Back Portal Called Giving Assistant

Cash back portals are online websites that give you cash back each time you use one of their referral links to make a purchase online. They’re partnered with thousands of retailers including Amazon.

In fact, sometimes there are offers to get up to 8% off on Amazon purchases. However, this only includes certain categories, such as jewelry or clothing. I personally only purchase two different types of categories on Amazon: Food and Electronics. Neither of these are covered by your standard portal.

Giving Assistant is currently only one that gives you 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases, and there’s no cap on the amount you buy. They’re also doing it for a good cause as 100% of their referral earnings are either given back to the user or donated to charity.

Sign-up using our link and you get a bonus of $5 after you make your first purchase, whether it’s using Amazon or not. There’s no minimum payout and if you link your debit card, payouts happen within 24 hours.

How Can I Sign-Up For Giving Assistant And Get Cash Back?

Getting signed-up with Giving Assistant is easy and can be done in just 3 steps.

1. Register. You can register with Giving Assistant by clicking this link here. Click on the sign-up button and enter in your email and name. Get $5 after your first purchase.

2. Shop. Type in Amazon in the search bar and click on the “Shop Now” button. You’ll be redirected to the Amazon website. From there Giving Assistant will keep track of all of your purchases.

3. Get cash back. Link your debit card and get cash back in 24 hours or wait a month to have them send it to your PayPal.

Final Thoughts

We get 5% cash back from using a cash back credit card and 5% from using Giving Assistant for a total of 10% back on all Amazon purchases. This goes up to a maximum of $4,500 in purchases per year.

If you’re worried that you won’t be able to spend the full $4,500 during the 5% Amazon cash back quarters on the credit cards listed, you can always buy Amazon gift cards. You’ll still get your cash back, and Giving Assistant doesn’t mind either.

For the time being, Discover is offering their Double Cash Back Promotion, so you’ll actually be getting a total of 15% cash back on all Amazon purchases. Take note that this promotion is only valid until the end of the year.
