Online surveys can be a great way to make some extra cash on the side. Depending on the site, you can sometimes make upwards $10 per hour, or even a bit more. The Ipsos i-Say survey site is one of the more popular ones out their due to their great rates and prompt payouts.

What Is Ipsos?

Ipsos is an online survey site that pays you to take polls and surveys. There’s absolutely no cost to register, and almost any country is eligible to join. However, keep in mind that residents of the US and Canada may be paid a bit more.

The goal of Ipsos i-Say is to gather your opinions to promote change. You get the chance to voice your opinion on global brands, certain forms of advertising, entertainment, politics and more.

Each time you take a survey or poll, you earn i-Say points that can be exchanged for cash prizes. This includes gift cards to Amazon, sweepstakes drawings, travel, Visa gift cards, PayPal deposits and more.

How Much Can I Earn With Ipsos i-Say?

The amount you can earn with Ipsos i-Say completely depends on the amount of effort you put into it. Obviously, the more surveys and polls you take, the more you’ll earn. Just so we can make things a bit more clearer, we’re going to give you an estimate of how much you can potentially earn per hour.

On average, we’ve found that a 10-minute survey will earn you around 45 – 60 i-Say points. If we calculate this out, this means we can earn at most around $6 per hour since 100 i-Say points equals $1 USD.

However, Ipsos often overestimates the amount of time it takes to complete a survey. Therefore, we conclude that you could effectively earn around $8 – $9 per hour assuming you take surveys at a decent speed. Not bad for an online survey site.

We can make our hourly rate a bit higher if we continuously take surveys. Ipsos gives you free points simply by taking more surveys through their loyalty. For example, taking 5 surveys earns you an extra 25 points.

Not only that, but each time you complete a survey you’re automatically entered into a drawing in which you can win MP3 players, a travel package, gaming consoles, gift cards and more.

How Do I Get Started With Ipsos i-Say?

Getting an account setup with i-Say is incredibly simple. In order to ensure that you don’t miss any details, we’re going to walk out through the process step-by-step.

1. Register.

You can register for a free account by clicking this link here. Canadian residents can sign-up here. The first step you’ll need to take is to fill out some basic information such as your name, email and where to send your prizes.

Try to be as honest as possible. If at any time Ipsos notices that your answers tend to be different in your profile than what you fill-out in surveys, they may suspend your account. Keep in mind that you will need to confirm your email, which can take a while to receive.

2. Take your first survey.

Click on the confirmation link you get in the email after joining. You’ll be taken to your first survey that asks questions about you. This way, they can gauge what surveys and polls you’ll be most interested in taking. Not only will you receive i-Say points for completing it, but they will also place you in a drawing for prizes such as a cruise, MP3 player and more. It takes only takes about a minute to complete.

3. Take surveys.

Once you take your first survey, you’ll be presented with eligible surveys. The great thing about Ipsos i-Say is that they always tell you an estimation of how long a survey will take along with how much you’ll earn – something a lot of survey sites don’t do. If you look at the image below, you can see that a 10 minute survey will give you roughly 45 points. The more surveys you take, the more that will become available?

4. Cash out.

Once you reach a minimum of 500 i-Say points, you can cash out for a prize of your choosing. This includes travel, sweepstakes drawings gift cards to popular retailers, Visa gift cards or deposits to PayPal. If you redeem for a gift card, it will be sent to your inbox almost immediately. PayPal redemptions can take up to 3-4 weeks.

5. Keep taking surveys.

If you become an avid survey-taker, you’ll earn free i-Say points just for completing more surveys and polls. View the chart below for potential bonuses.

What Are Some Other Great Paying Survey Sites?

Just because you’ve started taking online surveys with Ipsos i-Say doesn’t mean you have to stop there. Sometimes you’ll run out of eligible surveys. When that happens, feel free to jump on one of these other rewards programs listed below.

1. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is one of the (if not the most) popular rewards sites out there. Get paid to take surveys, sign-up for free-trial offers, take polls, watch videos, play games, clip coupons and shop online. They have one of the best payout rates out there and an excellent referral program, earning you 10% of all your friends’ earnings for life.

Each time you complete a task with Swagbucks, you earn points called Swagbucks. Just like with Ipsos i-Say, these points can be exchanged for cash prizes such as gift cards and direct deposits to PayPal. Registration is completely free. You even get a $5 bonus when you earn 2,500 points within your first 60 days.

My favorite part about Swagbucks is that their video rewards program is passive. Once you hit the play button, all you have to do is sit back and relax. Each video plays automatically one after another, meaning you don’t have to click a “next” button. Essentially, you’re earning a passive income by letting videos play on your computer or phone.

2. PointClub

PointClub is one of the more popular survey sites due to their great payout rate. Surveys in general pay a lot, and frequent visitors can expect to make up to $14 per hour. This is because you can level up and potentially double your earnings. Unfortunately, they don’t have as many surveys available as Ipsos i-Say.

You get a $5 bonus just for registering as a new user, and you can cash out when your account reaches a minimum of $25. What we enjoy most about PointClub is that their surveys are quick and painless. You’re always told how long they take and how much you’ll earn.

You can earn even more points by following them on Facebook and Twitter. They sometimes send out codes that you can redeem on the PointClub page for extra points.

3. EarningStation

EarningStation is another site very similar to Swagbucks that pays you to complete tasks that you already do. This includes watching videos, completing surveys, shopping online, playing games and referring your friends.

The payout isn’t as high as Swagbucks, but what we love most is their abundant offers. If you happen to run out of things to do on the other sites that we’ve mentioned, it would be a great idea to come here.

Not only that, but you could play videos on Swagbucks in one browser window and play videos with EarningStation in another to increase your earnings. Registration is completely free, and you need to earn a minimum of $3 to cash out.

4. Cross Media Panel

Although Cross Media Panel isn’t a survey site, we thought we would include it since it’s such an easy way to earn extra cash. They pay you for installing a browser extension and leaving it installed. By doing so, they collect data about what you search for and what browser you use.

All of the data that’s submitted is completely anonymous and registration is absolutely free. For each device you sign-up (a maximum of 3 – tablet, phone and desktop), you get a bonus f $2. You will need to take a quick survey to first determine eligibility.

From there, you can earn a maximum of $1 per week per device, or a total of $12 per month. Even though it’s not much, this income is passive. Once you have the browser extension installed on your devices, all you have to do is remember to cash out for free gift cards.

5. Digital Reflection Panel

Just like with Cross Media Panel, the Digital Reflection Panel isn’t a survey site like Ipsos i-Say. However, we thought we’d mention it here due to how easy it is to earn extra cash. They help you earn a passive income by installing an internet meter to your router.

Within your first month, you can earn up to $50. This includes installing the internet meter along with registering your eligible devices. After that, expect to earn $10 per month just for leaving it installed, or a total of $170 your first year.

Not only that, but you’ll receive an additional bonus for every 3 months that you are enrolled in the program. You can opt out at any time without penalty. Furthermore, there’s a full-on support team just in case you have questions about installing the internet meter.

You will need to take a quick survey to determine eligibility, but as long as you have a wireless router, you shouldn’t have any problem with being eligible for their program.

Final Thoughts

The Ipsos i-Say Panel is a great way to earn some extra cash on the side. Although it’s not enough to make you rich, it can definitely help, earning you great cash prizes along the way.

I personally find this great for those who have a desk job at work and have some spare time. Instead of idling away, take a survey or two every once in a while for some extra cash.

If you’ve tried out Ipsos i-Say, we’d love to hear about your experience in the comments below. Feel free to leave any questions as well. Thanks for reading and happy frugaling!
