WANT TO EARN EXTRA MONEY?

I’m sure we’ve all been a situation a time or two where we needed to raise money quickly. I have in the past, and probably will need to again in the future.

No matter the situation, there are a lot of ways to get cash quickly. Whether done by itself, or in combination with other ideas, it is possible. Here are 50 ways to make $100 fast.

Takes No Work

1. Join Apps & Sites

Many sites offer $5 for free just for signing up. Joining 20 (or more) of these places can get you that $100 for free.

5. Be an Online Juror

Online Verdict pays about $20 to $60 per case that lasts about 20 minutes to an hour. The only drawback with Online Verdict is that they pay by check which takes 2 to 3 weeks to receive.

6. Unclaimed Money

Takes A Little Work

Join different carpool websites and offer to drive people to their jobs along your own work route. You can get gas vouchers, cash and be able to use the carpool lane on highways. Online carpool companies will pay you to log your miles and give answers to surveys.

Some Moderate Work

TaskRabbit is a listing of various errands and gigs that can be done locally. From handyman jobs, to moving projects, to yard work and more.

25. Find Gigs on Craigslist

While you’re on Craigslist look for stuff that people are giving away for free. Go pick those up and then turn around and sell it for a profit.

27. Do Yardwork

If you have a lawn mower, a riding one is a bonus, you can easily make $50 in a few hours mowing other people’s lawns. Many people will gladly pay to get out of yard work and mowing. Don’t forget to check with local businesses as well because their lot may need work as well.

28. Clean Gutters

Along the same lines as the yardwork, you may just want to clean gutters. This is a neglected area due to people not wanting or incapable of getting up on ladders to do it. All you need is a ladder, work gloves, and cleanup bags.

29. Sell Scrap Metal

Go through your garage and workshop for any scrap metal you have, drive through the neighborhoods for people throwing out old appliances and such and collect those. Collect Aluminum cans too.

Turn it all in to your nearest scrap metal recycler. Average you can make is 35¢ a pound of cans, $1.30 a pound of electrical wiring, and 12¢ per pound of electric motors.

35. Help Budget

If you’re good at budgeting (or learned from Frugal for Less), you can offer to help others get their finances in order. Many people don’t like creating budgets or even where to start. Creating a budget and helping them curb their bad habits can turn into cash for you.

36. Ask for Overtime

If you have a job but currently need a little extra cash, try and ask your supervisor or boss for some overtime work. Tell your employer that you’ll do the job that no one else wants to do for extra, (maybe make a separate contract outside of work for that).

37. Ask for a Raise

If your company frowns upon overtime work, maybe you’ll just need to just straight up ask for a raise. A $2.50 raise will get you an extra $100 a week.

38. Hold Back Spending

Stop spending on your usual outings for a week. The morning coffee & bagel and fast-food lunch costs about $50 a week. One night at the bar costs about $65, so there’s $115 in one week made.

A Lot of Work

39. Have a Yard Sale

Declutter everywhere in your house and have a yard sale for the weekend. This can easily make you a few hundred dollars if you have a lot of stuff to get rid of. I listed it under “a lot of work” because it can take a lot of time sorting out things, pricing, setting up, and so on.

40. Flea Marketing

Going to various flea markets and auctions to find things to flip and sell on Craigslist or on eBay can get you some good cash. This takes a lot of work as there’s a lot of time and effort to do this, and there’s the need for knowing what’s popular or valuable that people really want.

41. Selling Baked Goods

Depending on your State and Local laws, you can sell baked goods out of your home, at a farmer’s market, or even at company offices. Having a cart of muffins, cookies and coffee can sell out quickly at an office building. You could even adjust it to selling lunch sandwiches as well.

42. Sell your Collection

Have a hobby collection? Stamps, coins, sport collectable cards, or comic books (sorry Graphic Novels)? Maybe it’s time to bite the bullet and sell them. Forget that they’ll be worth a fortune someday – that day is now.

I put this under “a lot of work” category because for some of you it’ll be an emotional parting

43. Teach the Newest Technology

If you’re tech-savvy and are on top of the newest releases of technology and software – offer to teach people these upgrades. Whether it’s to individuals or to a business as a workshop, this is a quick money-maker.

Many business folks need to be up-to-date on their company’s software and communication services and need help with this.

You could also help newbies set up their new computer, set up all their hardware and routers, and load any software they want and help them get started on it.

47. Do Mechanical Work

If you’re mechanically inclined, you can offer to fix people’s cars, motorized equipment, and appliances if you know how. Repairing a broken washer can set back a homeowner $120 to $500 for a professional from a brand-name service company.

If you can fix it for cheaper people will be happier to save and you’ve got your extra money you needed.

48. Be an Assistant

Offer busy moms, executives, and agents your services to run errands for them. Anything from getting groceries, running photocopies, and deliveries and so on. They will gladly accept your help because it means less stress for them.

49. Rent Yourself Out

If you’re good looking and have a nice suit or dress, why not rent yourself out to be someone’s date at their family wedding, at a business social or anywhere someone wants to avoid the awkward social questioning. You can easily earn $200 a date (not to mention the free food and drinks).

50. Refinance

If you have a mortgage or car payment, ask to refinance it. This can help you in a few ways: you may get a lower interest rate which will turn into a lower monthly payment, and the ability to get cash back on top of the new plan.

This way, you’ll get the cash you needed plus save monthly. For those looking to save with student loans, we recommend LendKey.
