I’m sure we’ve all been a situation a time or two where we needed to raise money quickly. I have in the past, and probably will need to again in the future.
No matter the situation, there are a lot of ways to get cash quickly. Whether done by itself, or in combination with other ideas, it is possible. Here are 50 ways to make $100 fast.
Takes No Work
1. Join Apps & Sites
Many sites offer $5 for free just for signing up. Joining 20 (or more) of these places can get you that $100 for free.
Sure, you can’t claim it right away, but just for answering surveys, watching videos, and doing your shopping online – things you can do in your spare time, it’s practically no work for getting free money. Here are some of our favorites:

2. Use Paribus
Paribus is service that monitors your purchases from each place you buy from. The service monitors those products prices and anytime there’s a price drop, Paribus will get you a refund on the difference.
3. Rent Your Driveway or Parking Space
Do you live in an area where parking is hard to find? List your driveway or spot on ParkAtMyHouse.com. In some areas you could easily make $250 a month just for a blank space out front.
4. Donate Plasma
It takes no effort to donate plasma and you can earn about $20 – $50 per donation (depending on volume) and you can donate plasma twice a week.
5. Be an Online Juror
Sites such as eJury & Online Verdict. If you live in a large city and county, you may find work easily here than if you were in a smaller area. eJury doesn’t pay much, $10 a case, but only takes about 30 minutes for a 6-page case.
Online Verdict pays about $20 to $60 per case that lasts about 20 minutes to an hour. The only drawback with Online Verdict is that they pay by check which takes 2 to 3 weeks to receive.
6. Unclaimed Money
If you moved around a lot, or have changed jobs, you may have unclaimed money in your name. Do a search and see if there’s some from an old bank account, property, or a Will.
7. Class Action Rebate
Use this site to search for products you have purchase and make a claim and receive a check in the mail. Some of these do not need proof of purchase either.
8. Rent Out Your Garage
If you have a large garage that you’re not using, why not rent it out as storage space?
9. Collect Your IOUs
Now that you’re needing quick cash, it’s time to pick up the phone and call your friends and family to return your favors or pay back any borrowed money.
10. Borrow it
Along the same lines of asking your friends and family for your money back – ask to borrow some from them. Offer to pay interest and be sure to get it all in writing too.
11. Open an Account
Check around at different banks, some banks offer a cash bonus to open an account with them. For example, Regions Bank offers a $200 bonus for new accounts.
12. Surf the Web
A lot of us like surfing the internet, so why not get paid for it? Qmee will pay anywhere form a few cents to a few dollars per search and survey. The difference between this site and the average survey site is that there is no minimum to meet before you can cash out.
Takes A Little Work
13. Drive For Lyft or Uber
If you have a car and a clean driving record, join Uber or Lyft. This is a pretty simple job to do. A few hours every night, or the busy Friday and Saturday nights after bar closings will rack up those dollars.

15. Babysit or Pet Sit
You could easily make $100 in one night of babysitting, or one weekend of pet sitting.
16. Participate in a Study
If you live near a University, you can apply to be a research participant. Studies such as surveys, review panels, testing, and other activities for research students and facilities. $100 or more can be made in one day of work. SurveyClub often sends out opportunities of studies in your area that pay.
17. Sell Your Old Electronics
Have a bunch of outdated electronics piled up somewhere? You can sell them to BuyBackWorld. For example, a Nikon Video Camera in excellent condition can get you $125.
18. Mystery Shop
Sign up to be a Mystery Shopping on several sites. There are a variety of mystery shopping opportunities and some don’t even include retail stores. You can survey movie theaters, bars, restaurants and other places.
19. Pawn Something
Maybe you need cash right now and payday is a while away. You may need to pawn something of yours to get that cash. Then when you get your paycheck, go back and buy it back (with a little interest). This isn’t a feasible option but sometimes you just need the money that quickly.
20. Be a Street Busker
Do you have a talent for entertainment? If you live in a big city, it’s possible to earn money quickly. Do check with your local laws if you’ll need permission to perform.
21. Play on a Street Corner
If you’re good at playing an instrument and/or singing, set up a place on a street corner, at a subway walkthrough, or other busy place and play away. A street musician can make about $500 for about 12 hours work.
22. Play Gigs at a Bar
If you’re not up for playing out on a corner, or if it’s illegal to, consider approaching different bars and asking for a gig. Depending on the bar but a 4-hour solo gig can get you about $300.
23. Become a Carpooler
Join different carpool websites and offer to drive people to their jobs along your own work route. You can get gas vouchers, cash and be able to use the carpool lane on highways. Online carpool companies will pay you to log your miles and give answers to surveys.
Some Moderate Work
24. Use TaskRabbit
TaskRabbit is a listing of various errands and gigs that can be done locally. From handyman jobs, to moving projects, to yard work and more.
25. Find Gigs on Craigslist
You can find gigs to do on Craigslist such as cleaning someone’s house, handy work, or other chores. You can easily make $100 in one day with one of these gigs. Just please make sure they look legit and it’d be even better if you could bring someone with you.
26. Resell Stuff
While you’re on Craigslist look for stuff that people are giving away for free. Go pick those up and then turn around and sell it for a profit.
27. Do Yardwork
If you have a lawn mower, a riding one is a bonus, you can easily make $50 in a few hours mowing other people’s lawns. Many people will gladly pay to get out of yard work and mowing. Don’t forget to check with local businesses as well because their lot may need work as well.
28. Clean Gutters
Along the same lines as the yardwork, you may just want to clean gutters. This is a neglected area due to people not wanting or incapable of getting up on ladders to do it. All you need is a ladder, work gloves, and cleanup bags.
29. Sell Scrap Metal
Go through your garage and workshop for any scrap metal you have, drive through the neighborhoods for people throwing out old appliances and such and collect those. Collect Aluminum cans too.
Turn it all in to your nearest scrap metal recycler. Average you can make is 35¢ a pound of cans, $1.30 a pound of electrical wiring, and 12¢ per pound of electric motors.
30. Help Organize
Offer to help people organize their homes and offices. Clean and set up organizers for people. You could make about $30 – $75 an hour depending on where you live.
31. Go Look at Stuff
You can help other people online through WeGoLook. People want to buy a house, car, or anything for sale online, but want assurance that what they’re planning to buy is actually what they’re getting. This company will pay you to go look for them.
All you need to do is pass a background check and you can start accepting projects.
32. Be a Tutor
If you’re good at academics, you can tell local parents that you can help their kids with their homework. Average home tutoring earns $10 to $15 an hour. Teach English online with VIPKID and earn anywhere between $14 – $22 per hour.
33. Help Caddy
If you live in a big city or a popular vacation spot that has plenty of golf courses, you can make over $100 carrying 2 bags for 18 holes (plus tips).
34. Help in Sports
If you don’t like academics but love sports, you can still tutor kids in physical activities and sports. Or you can help adults get into shape in their home or outside. You can charge more than the average tutoring fee as it’s more physical work.
35. Help Budget
If you’re good at budgeting (or learned from Frugal for Less), you can offer to help others get their finances in order. Many people don’t like creating budgets or even where to start. Creating a budget and helping them curb their bad habits can turn into cash for you.
36. Ask for Overtime
If you have a job but currently need a little extra cash, try and ask your supervisor or boss for some overtime work. Tell your employer that you’ll do the job that no one else wants to do for extra, (maybe make a separate contract outside of work for that).
37. Ask for a Raise
If your company frowns upon overtime work, maybe you’ll just need to just straight up ask for a raise. A $2.50 raise will get you an extra $100 a week.
38. Hold Back Spending
Stop spending on your usual outings for a week. The morning coffee & bagel and fast-food lunch costs about $50 a week. One night at the bar costs about $65, so there’s $115 in one week made.
A Lot of Work
39. Have a Yard Sale
Declutter everywhere in your house and have a yard sale for the weekend. This can easily make you a few hundred dollars if you have a lot of stuff to get rid of. I listed it under “a lot of work” because it can take a lot of time sorting out things, pricing, setting up, and so on.
40. Flea Marketing
Going to various flea markets and auctions to find things to flip and sell on Craigslist or on eBay can get you some good cash. This takes a lot of work as there’s a lot of time and effort to do this, and there’s the need for knowing what’s popular or valuable that people really want.
41. Selling Baked Goods
Depending on your State and Local laws, you can sell baked goods out of your home, at a farmer’s market, or even at company offices. Having a cart of muffins, cookies and coffee can sell out quickly at an office building. You could even adjust it to selling lunch sandwiches as well.
42. Sell your Collection
Have a hobby collection? Stamps, coins, sport collectable cards, or comic books (sorry Graphic Novels)? Maybe it’s time to bite the bullet and sell them. Forget that they’ll be worth a fortune someday – that day is now.
I put this under “a lot of work” category because for some of you it’ll be an emotional parting
43. Teach the Newest Technology
If you’re tech-savvy and are on top of the newest releases of technology and software – offer to teach people these upgrades. Whether it’s to individuals or to a business as a workshop, this is a quick money-maker.
Many business folks need to be up-to-date on their company’s software and communication services and need help with this.
44. Set up Computers
You could also help newbies set up their new computer, set up all their hardware and routers, and load any software they want and help them get started on it.
45. Offer Walking/Driving Tours
If you live in a vacation destination or have a lot of attractions, offer tourists a walking or driving tour around your city. You can easily make $100 in one weekend showing 5 families around town.
46. Drive for Amazon Flex
If you live where Amazon Flex is available you can deliver their packages to people who order same-day service. You could make up to $20/hour working for them.
47. Do Mechanical Work
If you’re mechanically inclined, you can offer to fix people’s cars, motorized equipment, and appliances if you know how. Repairing a broken washer can set back a homeowner $120 to $500 for a professional from a brand-name service company.
If you can fix it for cheaper people will be happier to save and you’ve got your extra money you needed.
48. Be an Assistant
Offer busy moms, executives, and agents your services to run errands for them. Anything from getting groceries, running photocopies, and deliveries and so on. They will gladly accept your help because it means less stress for them.
49. Rent Yourself Out
If you’re good looking and have a nice suit or dress, why not rent yourself out to be someone’s date at their family wedding, at a business social or anywhere someone wants to avoid the awkward social questioning. You can easily earn $200 a date (not to mention the free food and drinks).
If you have a mortgage or car payment, ask to refinance it. This can help you in a few ways: you may get a lower interest rate which will turn into a lower monthly payment, and the ability to get cash back on top of the new plan.
