In order to achieve higher rankings on Amazon, many third-party sellers promote their products through Amazon Review Sites. Buyers can get Amazon products for free or at an extreme discount in exchange for their honest product review. Out of all of these sites, TrueOpinion is one of the better ones out there.
What Are Amazon Review Sites?
Amazon Review Sites were originally designed to help sellers increase their rankings on the Amazon Marketplace. Each time someone buys their product or leaves a review, their rankings increase, thus making it easier for their product to be found when a consumer does a search query.
In order to promote more sales and more reviews, Amazon Review Sites were made in order to connect buyers and sellers. Sellers agree to give away their products for free or at an extreme discount, and in exchange buyers promise to leave their honest review once they get a chance to test out the product. For example, I received these five products off of Amazon and paid no more than $20 for all of them.
Depending on the review site, you can typically snag deals anywhere between 40% – 100% off their listed retail price. However, you may only be able to grab one deal at a time. Once you leave a product review, you’ll have access to future deals. There are currently over 50 different Amazon Review Sites across the web.
Here’s a quick list of some of the better review sites:
What Is TrueOpinion?
TrueOpinion is one of the more popular Amazon Review Sites out there and for good reason. They have over hundreds of products listed and always seem to be on top of things with their excellent customer support. Not only that, but their layout is easy to use, making it easy for buyers to select products they enjoy.
TrueOpinion differs from your traditional review site in that you must first request to review a product. When this happens, your application is submitted to the seller. From there the seller decides whether they agree to give you a promotion code or not for the discount. Most of the time you will get the discount, but sometimes you’ll find that certain sellers are a bit stingier than others.
In order to get more promo codes, be sure to leave as many reviews as possible, even on products that you’ve purchased long ago. This will increase your reviewer ranking and thus increase your chances of a seller approving your application.
TrueOpinion also has a ranking system. You can increase your TrueOpinion score by leaving reviews that are longer than 200 words in length and by leaving pictures or videos in your review. While this isn’t necessary, it will definitely increase your chances of getting a discount.
Once you receive your product, you have up to two weeks to leave your honest review. You can request up to 20 products at a time to review.
How Should I Leave Reviews?
We’d like to emphasize the importance of leaving an honest product review. There’s absolutely no penalty for leaving a negative review as long as your review contains pertinent information. This typically includes what you liked or disliked about the product along with whether you would recommend it to a friend or not.
If you’d like to see an example of a review, there’s an image of one down below in step 4. Anywhere from 3 -5 sentences is enough. Again, the better your review, the more likely sellers are going to approve your application on TrueOpinion.
There is one sentence that you must include when leaving reviews when getting products through TrueOpinion:
“I received this product at a discount/for free in exchange for my honest review.”
Failure to leave the above statement or one that’s similar may result in Amazon banning you from leaving reviews in the future. This way, people who read your reviews will know that you only purchased it because you received a promotion.
How Do I Get Started With TrueOpinion?
Registering with TrueOpinion is incredibly simple. In order to ensure that you don’t miss any of the details, we’re going to break it down in just 4 easy steps.

Registration is absolutely free and requires you to enter in an email address, a password and your Amazon profile URL. If you have any trouble finding this page, leave a comment down below and we’d be more than happy to help out.
2. Select a product.
Once you get setup and logged-in, go to the homepage and scroll down to see a list of available products. Click on the one that your interested in and you’ll be brought to a new window. Click on the “Get the Code” button to submit an application for seller approval.
3. Purchase the product.
After the seller approves your application, you’ll be given a promotion code. Enter this code at checkout.
4. Leave your product review.
Once you receive your product and get a chance to test it out, go to your review page and leave your honest review. Below we’ve written an example of what your review should look like. Be sure to include a sentence that states that you received this product at a discount in exchange for your honest review.
My Favorite Products
Here are three of my favorite products that I’ve received through Amazon Review Sites.
1. Nessie Ladle – 100% off
This little dinosaur ladle has been great with kids, and it stands up easily on the table when it’s full of soup. While I’m not a big fan of ladles, I couldn’t refuse it due to its cute design.
2. Owl Egg Mold – 100% off
Again, I couldn’t deny the cuteness of this owl egg mold. Crack open one or two eggs in the frying pan and when they’re done frying you get an egg in the shape of an owl. I was happy to know that the silicon material didn’t melt.
3. Mini Projector – 75% off
I was excited to find out that I could get a cheap projector that fits in the palm of my hand. The quality isn’t as great as a full-on projector, but for under $50 I can’t complain.
I almost never directly go to Amazon when shopping for a product online. Instead, I check Amazon Review Sites first to see if I can get the same product for extremely cheap. I often get iPhone cables and other small items for free. If you have any questions or comments about review sites, TrueOpinion or anything else, feel free to leave them down below. Thanks for reading and happy frugaling!
