We get it – a great side hustle can be difficult to find. That’s where the Bitwalking app comes in.

Bitwalking is one of the better passive income apps out there that pays you for something you do everyday: walking.

The best part? This app is absolutely FREE. The only thing you need to do on your end is register, leave the app installed on your phone, and start walking.

In this Bitwalking review, we’re going to cover how it works, whether it’s scam and legit and how much you can make with this app.

What Is The Bitwalking App?

Bitwalking is a free mobile app that’s currently available for Android devices.

They strongly believe that no matter who you are or where you are, your step has the same value as everyone else.

When you sign-up for an account, you generate revenue each time you walk. You’re essentially earning a passive income as long as your phone is on you.

All you have to do is install the app, sign-in and leave it running in the background. The app uses very minimal resources, so it shouldn’t affect your phone’s performance or battery life.

If at any time you wish to terminate the app from running in the background, you can always disable it under settings. Just keep in mind that you will stop generating revenue at this point.

You’ll always be able to check your daily progress in the notification bar on your phone. A great way to increase your revenue is to take your phone with you when you go running.

It doesn’t matter at what speed you’re going just as long as you’re in motion. The more you move the more revenue you’re going to generate.

When you register for a new account, you’ll be asked to grant permission to give away your phone’s location.

This is extremely important, as the app won’t be able to track if you’re in motion or not with this feature turned off.

As of now, the app is only available to a handful of countries – the US, UK, Japan, Malawi and Kenya.

However, they plan to expand to work anywhere in the world. Registration is completely free.

How Much Can I Expect To Earn With Bitwalking?

The currency you generate with the Bitwalking App is called Walking Dollars.

You can spend your Walking Dollars at their Bitwalking store, with third party partners, or you can trade it with other Bitwalking users.

Some of the items you can buy at the Bitwalking store include the FitBit Blaze, Jawbone Up 2 and other cool electronics.

Your dollars are accumulated each day and will stay in your account until you decide to spend or transfer them.

You can earn a maximum of $3 Walking Dollars per day (about 30,000 steps or 15 miles). At this rate, you’re essentially earning $1 Walking Dollar ever 5 miles.

Be careful about running multiple accounts – this is a quick way to get your account banned.

The Bitwalking Store is still a work in progress, so there’s currently no way to cash out your Bitwalking Dollars.

The best thing you can do is install the app now and get a head start on earning some cash for when prizes do become available.

When we get a better idea of how much Bitwalking Dollars are worth, we’ll be sure to post an update here.

Even if you aren’t connected to the internet, you can still generate revenue for a limited period of time.

When you are able to connect, they will validate your steps and turn them into currency. Just make sure that the app is still running.

Furthermore, do not go without internet for too long or you might not be compensated for your steps.

What Does This Mean?

The fact that you need to walk 5 miles to earn $1 means that you can’t really earn that much with Bitwalking – and that’s the point.

The Bitwalking app wasn’t created to replace your current income, but to rather give those who walk long distances a chance to earn some extra cash for essentially doing something they already do.

For this reason, we mostly recommend this app for those who walk a fair amount during the day. Otherwise, it’s probably going to take you a long time before you can actually earn enough to cash out.

How Do I Get Started With The Bitwalking App?

Getting started with the Bitwalking App is incredibly simple. In order to ensure that you don’t miss a step, we’re going to walk you through all of the steps in detail.

Is The Bitwalking App A Scam Or Legit?

In short, the answer is that Bitwalking is not a scam. They always pay out on time and pay the correct amount.

The downside? You can’t really earn that much due to the fact that you need to walk 15 miles to earn $3.

This app is really meant for those who walk long distances each day and are looking to earn some extra cash.

So while the Bitwalking app is completely legit, you most likely won’t earn that much. Think of it as earning some extra play money.

What Are Some Other Passive Income Earners?

Just because you have the Bitwalking App doesn’t mean you have to stop at increasing your passive income earnings. Here’s a short list of our top 3 favorite passive income apps.

2. Nielsen Computer & Mobile Panel

Want an easy $50/year in passive income? The Nielsen Computer & Mobile Panel app is exactly what you need.

This app works by collecting data about your phone usage why being installed in the background. This usually includes what apps you use, internet speeds, etc.

But not to worry – all of your data is kept private, so there’s no way to trace it back to you.

Furthermore, they don’t track anything person. They can’t read your texts, listen to your calls or dive in on emails.

The best part? You can install the app on unlimited devices as long as they haven’t reached the limit for the particular area you’re in. This means you can double or even triple your earnings or even more.

For those who install the program on their desktop computer, keep in mind that it works a little bit differently. Each month you’re entered into a sweepstake drawing instead of getting the passive income bonus.
