How Does E-Poll Surveys Work?
As mentioned above, E-Poll Surveys is an online webpage that pays you free cash for taking online surveys. Each time you complete a survey you’re given a certain amount of points. These points can be exchanged for cool prizes such as a gift card of your choice.
All surveys invitations are sent to you via email. In other words, there’s no need to log-in to the E-Poll Surveys Portal except to claim your rewards.
When you first register, you’ll take a quick demographic survey that gives you 100 points right off of the bat. Be sure to be as honest as possible with these questions – if E-Poll Surveys ever finds out that you’re providing inconsistent answers, they may suspend your account.
How Is It That E-Poll Surveys Is Able To Pay Me?
Each time you take a survey, you’re providing opinions for companies. They take the information that you provide and use it to improve their products and services.
E-Poll Surveys merely acts as a middleman to gather this information. When they sell it to the companies, they earn a small commission and give a portion of it back to you for providing your opinions.
Not only are you earning some extra cash, but you’re helping companies improve the products and services of everyday consumers.

How Do I Get Started With E-Poll Surveys?
Getting started with E-Poll Surveys is incredibly simple. However, in order to make sure you don’t miss any details we’re going to walk you through the process step-by-step.
1. Register.
You can register for a free E-Poll Surveys account by clicking this link here. Registration is completely free. You’ll need to answer about 10 questions to fill out your profile (name, email, etc). Don’t forget to verify your email!
At this time, E-Polls Survey is currently only accepting those who are residing in the US.
2. Complete your first survey.
The first survey you take is awarded to you immediately after registration. You receive 100 points for completing it. This survey may be longer (depending on your answers) than other surveys. It took about 30 minutes for these points to arrive in my account.
Again, be as honest as possible with this first survey. E-Poll Surveys uses this information to determine which surveys to give you in the future. They use your demographic information to provide you with questions related to you.
Not only that, but inconsistent answers may lead to a suspension of your account. It’s much easier to answer questions consistently if you’re honest.
3. Wait for surveys.
E-Polls Surveys works by survey invitations only, and all invitations are sent by email. For me personally, this makes it especially convenient since I can simply open my email and see if there’s a new survey available.
Depending on your demographic profile that you filled out, you may receive a fair amount or a low amount of surveys. Sometimes I only receive 1 surveys a month, while other times I receive up to 3.
In their FAQ section they specifically state that you can except on average to receive 1 survey every 4-6 weeks. However, I’ve found that the more surveys I take, the more frequently I’m given them.
The great part? They always tell you how many points you get before you actually start the survey. We recommend taking surveys immediately as they may only be available for a short time.
4. Cash out.
Once you reach a minimum balance of 2,750 in your account you can give $5 to charity. Wait until you get to 3,750 points to cash out for $5, but we found out that saving for higher-value payouts make your points more worthwhile (more information below).
Each time you complete a survey, you’re also automatically entered in a monthly cash drawing to earn $1,000.
How Much Can I Earn With E-Poll Surveys?
In order to get a clear understanding of how much you can earn with E-Poll Surveys, let’s take a look at their point system.
How Much Are Points Worth?
Each time you complete a survey you’re given a certain amount of points. You need a minimum of 3,750 to cash out for $5, but you can cash out for a maximum of 18,750 points, or $30 USD.
If we divide number of points by the dollar amount, we can figure out how many points are equivalent to $1 USD.
- 3750 points/$5 = 750 points/$1
- 18750 points/$30 = 625 points/$1
As you can see, it’s much more beneficial to save up for the higher-payout offers since your points go a lot further. When you reach $30 you can cash out for either gift cards or PayPal deposits.
Note: You can also cash out for 2,750 points if you decide to donate $5 to charity. You get the most bang for your buck, but we didn’t include this in the above calculation since you don’t actually keep the money.
So How Much Can I Make?
When you first sign-up with E-Poll Surveys, you’re given a message that states that surveys typically take anywhere between 5 – 15 minutes to complete and are usually worth 500 points.
In order to get a more definite hourly rate, we’re going to take the average and say that each survey takes 10 minutes to complete. Keep in mind that we mentioned above that 625 points is equal to $1 (assuming we cash out for higher-paying offers).
This means that in an hour we can earn 3,000 points, or $4.80. This rate is pretty low.
From my personal experience, I usually find that I can complete surveys in about 8 minutes if I’m diligent about completing them (while of course answering honestly and consistently.
Not only that, but surveys I take have only paid between 500 and 750 points. This means that on average they pay me 625 points every 8 minutes. This increases our rate to about $7.50 per hour. Not incredibly an incredibly, but a bit better.
The great thing about E-Polls Surveys is that they always tell you how many points you will earn before you take the survey. The downside? They don’t tell you how long they expect it to take.
For this reason, I suggest only sticking to surveys that have a payout of 500 points or more.
My Opinion: Is E-Polls Surveys Worth It?
If you want a short answer, then no. The long answer? Maybe.
Just looking at a maximum hourly rate of $7.50 per hour doesn’t seem too enticing. However, there are a lot of survey sites out there that pay at an incredibly low rate.
What we suggest is simply keeping e-polls on your list of survey sites. When you run out of other high-paying surveys on these sites, go back over to E-Polls to earn some extra cash.
One thing I noticed is that E-Polls Surveys made it really easy for me due to their e-mail notification system. Although I knew I was earning at a slightly lower rate, the fact that I could open my email and immediately take a survey made it really convenient.
I ended up taking a few extra surveys because I didn’t have to log-in to a portal and actually check – it was right there in front of me.
My Favorite Part About E-Polls Surveys: The Surveys Are Interesting
Another factor you may want to consider with E-Polls Survey is that the questions they provide tend to be a bit unique than those of other survey sites. You’re going to be answering questions about celebrities, entertainment, etc.
Sometimes you’ll even be required to watch a video and afterwards ask your opinion about it.
The best surveys? When they send you DVDs or CDs to your home and ask you to view them from home. Answer questions about what you watched and keep the DVDs as a free gift.
If you’re looking for a survey site that has more interesting questions, then this is definitely a good choice. However, if you’re simply looking for the highest-payout rate, we suggest looking elsewhere.
Also, the surveys provided by E-Polls Surveys tend to be somewhat scarce. Since I rarely receive an invitation in my inbox, when I see it I’m most likely to accept it.
Is E-Polls Surveys A Scam?
E-Polls Surveys is not a scam and is a legit survey site. I have always received my payment on-time and have always received the right amount.
Unfortunately, on-time for E-Polls is anywhere from 6-8 weeks, since this is how long it may take to process their payments.
But don’t just take our word for it. Here are a couple of other reviews of E-Polls Surveys and what they have to say about it.
- The Making Money Online Blog states that E-Polls Surveys isn’t a scam, but there are much better options out there. This is particularly due to the fact that other sites have a higher payout rate. The author specifically recommends Swagbucks as an alternative.
- Review Stream doesn’t claim that E-Poll is a scam, rather that it’s difficult to cash out since surveys are a bit infrequent.
- The Better Business Bureau (BBB) gives E-Polls Surveys an A+ rating, so you can be more than certain that this site isn’t trying to scam you. Their HQ is currently located in Los Angeles, California.
Here’s a quick picture of some payment proof of my E-Polls Payment:
When you receive cash rewards, you’ll be receiving them from a company called Bridge Entertainment Inc.

If you become a member for a long enough time, you’ll be given surveys that pay up to $50. However, these usually take a bit longer and are only given to more experienced members.

While Survey Junkie doesn’t offer a sign-up bonus, they’re definitely one survey site that doesn’t want to be ignored. You can earn $12+ per hour with this site, while sometimes taking surveys that offer you cash at a rate of up to $20/hour.
The only downside with Survey Junkie is that sometimes there’s a lot of lower-paying surveys. Not to worry. Simply stick to the higher-paying surveys and you’ll be rewarded well.
Survey Junkie also updates their surveys quite frequently. I find that every 24 hours there’s a new offer available.

Final Thoughts
We’ve concluded that E-Polls Surveys is definitely not a scam. They always pay out the correct amount and pay out on time.
However, this doesn’t mean that they’re the best option out there, as there are sites like Springboard America and Survey Junkie that pay at a much better rate. We merely suggest keeping E-Polls as a backup.
The great thing about E-Polls Surveys is that I often find I take their surveys due to the mere convenience – survey invitations are sent directly to my email, and there’s no other way to access them. Not only that, but I find the questions to be slightly more interesting than what you might find with other survey sites.
The downside is that the site doesn’t have a great interface. In fact, it looks like an illegitimate site just by looking at their homepage.
If you have any personal thoughts about E-Poll Surveys, we’d love to hear about them in the comments below. In any case, thanks for reading our full E-Polls Surveys review. Happy frugaling!
