Clickworker is a great program for those looking to make some extra cash from home over the internet. If you’ve heard of Amazon mturk, Clickworker is very similar in which you complete tasks on a web browser and get paid to do so. The only problem with most of these rewards programs is that the payout is extremely low.
Clickworker has a wide variety of tasks to complete that tell you how much you’re going to earn before you do them, meaning you can choose how much you want to earn. This works out to making anywhere from as low as $3 per hour and as high as $25 per hour. We’re going to filter out those low-paying tasks and tell you how you can receive the highest payout potential.
Before we begin, I must warn you that you cannot rely on this method for a steady income. There are many users already on Clickworker, and there’s only a certain number of spots available for each task. That’s why once you log-in you have to act quick to find the tasks with the highest payouts and finish them in a timely manner to get paid.
Once you get the hang of it after the initial setup, you could be making an extra $200 – $300 per month with about 20 hours of work.

How Do I Get Started With Clickworker?
If you’ve decided to give Clickworker a try, welcome to one of the best ways to earn money on the web. With the high payouts in comparison to other programs, you really can’t go wrong.
Before we begin, make sure you are able to meet these two requirements:
- Internet Explorer
- Good English Comprehension
If you have a Mac, Digital Trends has a guide that explains how to setup IE on any computer. For those of you who aren’t native speakers to English, there will be a test to prove your reading and writing ability.
Accessing and completing tests and tasks are a little confusing using the Clickworker interface, so we’ve broken the complete process down into 6 steps with images so that you know exactly what to do.
1. Sign-up With Clickworker
You can sign-up with Clickworker by going to clickworker.com. Once you click the link, find the register button and click on it. You’ll be redirected to another page with a choice. Make sure to click on register as a Clickworker.
2. Fill Out Your Information
From there, you will be required to fill out your basic information. This includes your name, email, address and a few other things. Fill in the boxes and confirm the link sent to your email address once finished.
3. Complete Assessments
Once you’ve confirmed your email, you’ll be eligible to start completing tasks. Yet these are the tasks that aren’t usually worth our time. From there, click on the “Assessments” button found near the top of the page.
Go ahead and log-in if asked.
4. Fill in More Information
This part is very important. You’re going to be presented with 4 different tabs to fill in your information. Make sure to fill them all out as accurately as possible, especially your language ability. You must communicate to the Clickworker company how good your English ability is in reading and writing.
5. Complete Assessments
Once you fill out your information, you’ll be redirected to take assessments to test your English ability. (If you have trouble finding this page, log-out and log back in and click on “assessments” again).
At this point, you’re only going to want to complete the Placement Test for English. Go ahead and click on the qualify button. Follow the instructions and complete the assessment.
If you are a native English speaker, there is no need to worry. You should score close to 100%. It should take you about 10 minutes to complete all 74 questions. Make sure that your internet connection is stable because you can only take the test once.
6. Complete Two Other Assessments
There will be two more assessments that you will need to complete: UHRS I and UHRS II. These tests can only be accessed once you have completed your profile (make sure it says you’re a native English speaker) and have verified your phone number.
These assessments are similar to the English one. Make sure you take your time because they are a little bit trickier. UHRS I requires you to do some research on addresses and the other just has you create a Live ID email account through Hotmail. Again, these can only be taken once, so be sure to take your time.
Make sure you write down your Live ID and password. This is something you don’t want to forget. All in all, these take around 2-3 hours to complete, but it’s definitely worth it.
Now you have all of the assessments completed and are ready to start earning money through UHRS.
Note: If your assessments have not appeared yet, don’t panic. UHRS assessments are usually given out in blocks. Make sure to check back in every week or so to see if your turn has come up.
The Best Way To Start Making Money Through UHRS
Take note that this section can only be accessed if you have completed the UHRS assessments. If you haven’t already, go back and complete them first or this part will be a waste of time for you. Furthermore, you must be using Internet Explorer in order to access this section.
Finding access to the UHRS access link on clickworker can be a little confusing, so I’ve posted it directly here: https://prod.uhrs.playmsn.com/Judge/Views/Login. Otherwise, you can log-in to your Clickworker account and look for the link “Compare Web Search Results.”
Go ahead and click the link and log-in using the Live ID and password that you created earlier when taking the UHRS II assessment.
Once you are in you’ll be presented with a list of what are called “HitApps.” These HitApps are just another way of saying tasks that you have to compete.
Before being able to click on a task, you’ll have to go through a qualification phase. Once you complete a qualification for a specific job, you won’t have to do it again, so it’s only a one time things.
You only receive a fixed number of chances to do qualifications so make sure to be careful. If you fail, you won’t be able to do work on that specific HitApp. Follow the rules for each one and click on “Preview” if it’s available, as qualification HitApps sometimes have the exact same questions as the preview. Once a HitApp is passed, you can click on “Start Judging” and make some money.
Here are some great tips on choosing which HitApps to complete and how to complete qualifications:
- Work accurately and quickly. If you don’t know the answer, it’s okay to skip. You may not be able to take a qualification again.
- Any HitApps that give you three cents or more per task tend to go rather quickly, so make sure to complete them as fast as you can.
- Don’t bother with the tasks that say you’re getting the wrong answer even though you’re giving the right one. Move on to the next one as there are plenty.
- Do not falsify your answers. Sometimes they will throw in random questions to make sure you are still paying attention. If their spam score shows up as too high, it is possible to ban your account or at least ban you from that specific HitApp.
If you want to see how much you’ve earned thus far, you can click on “My Report” at the top of the screen to see your current earnings.
My recommendation is that you do as many tasks as you can, but if you’re only looking to make some decent money then just go for the tasks that pay a minimum of three cents. Otherwise, you might be disappointed in your payout.
Furthermore, do a task that you can do fast. This way you’ll rake up a ton of money in a short time. I’ve made up to $26 dollars an hour doing the same task over and over just because I was good at it.
People have reported earning roughly around $20 per hour doing only the highest-paying Clickworker tasks, but this greatly reduces their time spent working. There are only a few of these and they go quickly.
By selecting a wide variety of tasks, you can create a more constant stream of income. It wouldn’t be uncommon for you to rake in an extra $300 a month for doing about 20 – 25 hours of work. Definitely not a bad deal.
When Do I Get Paid?
When you first sign-up and complete HitApps it will take 3 weeks before you get your first paycheck. After that, you’re paid weekly. The money in your UHRS will show in your Clickworker account by every Monday at the latest. From there every Thursday money is automatically deposited into your PayPal account.
If you don’t make over $600 in a calendar year, you don’t even have to pay taxes on that money, as Clickworker will not send you any type of tax form.
There aren’t any hidden fees when depositing into your PayPal account, so what you see is what you get.
Conclusion – Is It Worth It?
Clickworker can definitely be worth the time and effort if you don’t mind spending a few hours getting setup. After this, you can easily make $10 – $20 per hour in your spare time.
Make sure that you’re using Internet Explorer as well as complete your profile before doing any UHRS tasks. It’s also important that you note that you’re a native English speaker.
